The creations at The House of Childhood are lovingly crafted by Amy.B using her vintage Singer 99K sewing machine.

Manufactured in Clydebank, Scotland, this iconic machine, one of only 20,000 produced in the year 1950, boasts a knee-lever and electric motor.

This "Semisesquicentennial" marvel, literally meaning 75 years old, adds a unique touch of nostalgia to every piece.

Society is only now recognising that the delayed gratification of handmade products is an essential part of mitigating the impacts of excessive consumption.

The House of Childhood demonstrates its committment to environmental sustainability by taking our time to lovingly create high-quality long lasting resources using natural and repurposed materials that are both safe and cruelty-free.

In order to create our 100% pure wool felt products, our maker and founder Amy.B, must first tediously wet-felt the new wool that has been sourced from Australian farms.

The felt is then hand coloured by Amy.B using non-toxic dyes that are fixed with vinegar and heat using a low water immersion method. All our felt products can be OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certified, which means minimal environmental damage and maximum textile safety.
